a colorful, slightly messy, sometimes sticky weekend of entertaining and educational wine experiences, brought to you by Roots to Wine, an association of small family owned and operated wineries located on the eastern edge of Northern California’s Coastal range.
Off the beaten path but closer than you think, the wineries you’ll visit for Fresh Press will be showcasing not only their newly crushed and possibly still fermenting 2013 vintage wines but also their current release wines. The region is known for its warmer climate red varietals including Tempranillo, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Granache, Mouvedre and Barbera as well as some unique and hard to find warmer climate whites including Viognier, Verdelho, Verdejo, Granache Blanc, Rousanne, and Greco de Tufo to name a few.
